Plant: Perennial that can reach a height over 80 cm. It has a large rhizome. It is used in gardening because of their spathes raised in a funnel shape.
Location: Its ideal exposure is the flower beds and moist corners shade or half-shade as semi-aquatic plant.
Flowering: Mid spring and summer.
Soil: Fertile and drained, although it can live by bordering ponds
Temperature: Avoid temperatures below 10°C, although it resists moderate frost.
Irrigation: It should be copious since it is a semi-aquatic plant, especially when it is growing and during flowering.
Fertilizer: During the flowering season. Special fertilizers for flower plants are advised.
